On the left you see an example of lettering in black granite which is carved by hand with specialized carbide tipped chisels. The lighter colour
of the lettering is achieved without the aid of paint; but through the natural reaction of the stone to the impact of the hard chisel.
On the right you see an example of sandblasted lettering in grey granite. A deeply cut and burnished letter creates it's own interior shadow and yields a high level of contrast against the lighter grey granite WITHOUT the need for inks or paint which often need to be re-applied over time.
